Formed in late 1998, Shatterhand exploded onto the UK DIY scene with a passion for fast, melodic tunes with big choruses. An early tour with Turtlehead and Beauty School Dropout initiated the band to the UK punk scene, and they followed this up with their first album Wreckage, which was received positively across the UK. a couple of bass players later (Cheers to Ramsay and Monty), 3 more albums (Planting Seeds , Bone Palace Ballet and Random Acts Of Defiance) and extensive gigging in the UK and Ireland with bands such as Shelter, UK Subs, Lost Prophets etc saw the band develop a strong following, with fan bases reaching to the USA and Singapore. After a short break to get the fire back in their bellies, they’re back! Older, wiser yet retaining a powerfully strong DIY Punk ethic. They are more than just a band who play music, they are passionate about their causes, collectively and individually and this integrity has won them friends wherever their have rolled into town.

Dark Poetry

The Local Herald press article seems to have been seen by everyone and their freakin granny, even got asked for autograph today. embarrassed? I almost asked her out.....heh heh. Brians line of "We just say what we think at time" (or whatever it was) seems to have been attributed to me :( Ye cannae argue wi the content though and the man Trimble did a bang up job of namechecking the dark poet himself - Mr Bill Hicks, so respect due.

Respect.....

A quality night in Perth on Saturday - massive respect to the Gin Goblins who I think blew each and every one of us away and to Tortura Nervosa who despite Rossko's pig-flu enforced absence :) fired up a qualty set of East Coast (Scottish-Style) h/c tinged hip hop - sweet.

And respect to the bar staff who kept the pints coming long after there was really no need for any more beer...... :)

Back up in Perth in a few weeks, can't wait and also can't wait to hook with up the Gin Goblins again either - quality guys :)

Next stop......Grangemouth...............gonna be errrr........... interesting :)

Feel free to post any comments, drop some abuse our way or just generally talk crap :-)
